Frequently Asked Questions
What should I bring?
Bring swimwear and a towel for the waterfalls, comfortable clothes, insect repellent, sun protection, a change of clothes, and a refillable water bottle. Lunch and all equipment are provided. If you are continuing into Tayrona Park afterwards, pack accordingly — the tour ends at the park entrance.
What level of fitness is required?
Easy to moderate. The morning is mostly cultural (cacao workshop). The afternoon involves light jungle hiking to reach the waterfalls (~3–4 hours on gentle trails). Suitable for most adults, including those with little hiking experience.
Where do we meet?
Pickup is in Santa Marta. Exact location and time are confirmed in your booking confirmation, and hotel pickup can be arranged on request. Note that transport is one way: the tour finishes at the entrance of Tayrona National Park, not back in Santa Marta.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 7 days before departure. Between 7 and 3 days: 50% refund. Less than 3 days before departure: no refund. We are happy to reschedule if you contact us in advance.
Is this experience suitable for children?
Yes — this is one of our most family-friendly experiences. The cacao workshop and waterfall swimming are great for children aged 6 and above. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
